The 10th Squadron is responsible for patrolling the Nanjing Road, performing security duties at key subway stations, and hoisting and lowering the national flag at the People’s Square. Everyone of the squadron has the maps, social conditions, and emergency responses plans of their service areas at their fingertips, ensuring that they can take quick and effective actions in case of emergency.
Thanks to the strict training for guard and patrol tasks, the squadron has set a record of zero accident on duties for 39 years in a row. In recent years, armed policemen of the squadron have successfully handled more than 1,680 emergencies of various sorts, assisted the public security organs in dealing with more than 780 public security cases, and captured over 90 criminals. The squadron has won 34 collective merit citations with three first-class, 11 second-class and 19 third-class.
