BEIJING, Dec. 2 -- On December 2, the Japanese fishing vessel 瑞宝丸 illegally entered the territorial waters of China's Diaoyu Dao. "The China Coast Guard (CCG) vessel took necessary control measures against it and warned it to leave in accordance with the law,” said CCG Spokesperson Liu Dejun on Tuesday. 

Emphasizing that Diaoyu Dao and its affiliated islands are China's inherent territory, the spokesperson urged the Japanese side to immediately cease all infringement and provocation activities in the waters.

He added that the CCG will continue to carry out rights protection and law enforcement operations in the waters of Diaoyu Dao and safeguard China's territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests.
