BEIJING, Aug. 27 -- China's Ministry of National Defense will hold the third China-Africa Peace and Security Forum from August 28 to September 2, 2023. Chinese State Councilor and Defense Minister General Li Shangfu will attend the plenary session of the forum and deliver a keynote speech.
Leaders of defense departments and military chiefs of nearly 50 African countries, heads of peace and security affairs of the African Union, and military attachés of African countries to China will attend the meeting.
Featuring the theme of "Implementing the Global Security Initiative, Strengthening China-Africa Solidarity and Cooperation", this forum aims to further consolidate the strategic communication between Chinese and African defense departments and play a positive role in building the China-Africa community with a shared future in the new era.
