BEIJING, Nov. 27 -- A Y-20 transport aircraft of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) departed from an airport in central China on Tuesday for the Republic of Korea (ROK) to bring back the 11th batch of Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) martyrs' remains from the ROK. The ROK side will hand over the remains and belongings of 43 CPV martyrs to China on Thursday.

Since 2015, the PLAAF has dispatched planes to the ROK every year to undertake the mission of bringing back CPV martyrs' remains from the ROK. Since 2020, the task has been performed by the Y-20 transport aircraft of the PLAAF. Airmen performing this year's mission have carefully arranged the cabin of the plane to ensure that the highest standards were met to welcome the remains of the martyrs back home.
