ALGIERS, May 22 (ChinaMil) -- Mohamed Zenakhri, secretary general of Algerian Ministry of National Defense, met with the Chinese military delegation led by Hou Shusen, deputy chief of general staff of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA), in Algiers on May 20, 2014.
Hou Shusen said that in recent years, China and Algeria have cooperated in various fields at a faster pace. The Chinese military values the traditional friendship between China and Algeria. He hoped that both sides can make joint efforts to push forward the communication and cooperation in various fields to a higher level.
Zenakhri said that China is the first non-Arabic country to establish diplomatic relations with Algeria. In recent years, the partnership between the two countries has been reinforced and developed. The cooperation between the two militaries has yielded fruitful achievements, serving as a model of military relationship. The Algerian military is willing to further strengthen the friendly relationship and pragmatic cooperation with the Chinese military in various fields.
At the invitation of the Algerian National People’s Army, Hou Shusen led a military delegation to pay an official visit to Algeria from May 18 to 21. The main members of the delegation include Wang Xixin, deputy commander of the Shenyang Military Area Command (MAC) of the PLA, and others.
