BEIJING, May 12 (ChinaMil) -- More than 50 foreign military attaches from over 40 countries gathered in the Chinese PLA General Hospital, where they listened to a presentation on Chinese military’s assistance to some African countries in fighting against Ebola epidemic and toured the hospital in Beijing on the afternoon of May 11, 2016.
The presentation and tour were organized by the Office for International Military Cooperation of China's Ministry of National Defense (MND).
Li Qingjie, director of Health Bureau of the Logistics Support Department under the Central Military Commission (CMC), gave a presentation on Chinese military’s assistance to African countries in the fight against Ebola epidemic, its forces in epidemic prevention and control as well as its joint epidemic prevention and control mechanism. Ren Guoquan, president of the PLA General Hospital, made a brief introduction about the hospital to the foreign military attaches.
The Office for International Military Cooperation of the MND regularly invites personnel from relevant departments of the Chinese government and Chinese military to give presentations on China’s politics, economy, diplomacy, national defense and military development to foreign military attaches to China, so as to allow them to have a better understanding of national and military situations of China.
