DAR-ES-SALAAM, June 2 (ChinaMil) -- The 22nd Chinese naval escort taskforce that was visiting Tanzania visited an elementary school in Dar-es-Salaam with a lot of stationery including schoolbags, notebooks and pencil boxes on May 31, led by Chen Qiangnan, commanding officer and Huang Xinchang, political commissar of the taskforce.

When local residents saw the naval sailors from China, they greeted them with smiles and said "Good! China!" with their thumbs up.

According to a staff member from the Chinese embassy in Tanzania, Tanzania is one of the least developed countries according to the UN, and China has helped it many times when the country was most in need.

The Tanzania-Zambia Railway, a monument to the China-Africa friendship, is still fondly remembered by the Tanzanians today. The Chinese Navy's visit to a local elementary school during their visit was of great significance.
