BEIJING, Aug. 2 (ChinaMil) -- Two patrol boats which had served in the East China Sea Fleet of the Chinese PLA Navy for more than 20 years were decommissioned last week.
It is learnt that the two decommissioned patrol boats will serve as targets of other naval vessels in firing training.
The two patrol boats joined the East China Sea Fleet in early 1990s and were mainly undertaking missions of coastal escorting and patrol, fishing protection, attacking enemy submarine and laying torpedoes. The total voyage time of the two patrol boats exceeds 50,000 hours.
