HONG KONG, Aug. 15 (ChinaMil) -- The sixth Hong Kong college student military-life experience camp concluded in San Wai Barracks of the PLA Hong Kong Garrison on Sunday.
Chief Executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Leung Chun-ying attended the graduation ceremony and delivered a speech. Every Hong Kong citizen has the responsibility to safeguard China’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity as well as its national security, Leung said.
A total of 80 students from more than a dozen of colleges in Hong Kong took part in the 13-day military-life experience camp at the San Wai Barracks. They experienced daily life of soldiers, carried out simulated laser confrontation drill and attended military knowledge lectures.
Jointly sponsored by the PLA Hong Kong Garrison, the HKSAR government and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR, the experience camp is the sixth in a row since its launch in 2011.
