For days in a row, influenced by the intersection of cold and warm currents, the weather in a sea area of the South China Sea was changeable with mist and rain and the visibility was very low. A maritime garrison command (MGC) of the South China Sea Fleet under the Navy of the People’s Liberation Army took this opportunity to stage sea battle drills under complicated meteorological conditions. The picture taken on January 19 shows the warships of the MGC are conducting gun offensive and defensive exercise at the sea area enveloped by thick mist.
