"Aviadarts" international contest kicks off

The opening ceremony of the "Aviadarts" international contest is held on July 31, 2016.

RYAZAN, August 4 (ChinaMil) -- Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces Colonel-General Victor Bondarev presided over the opening ceremony of the "Aviadarts" international contest, one of the twenty-three contests of the International Army Games 2016, on July 31, 2016. The Chinese team attended the ceremony with other teams participating in the Games.

About 50 crews from Russia, China, Kazakhstan and Belarus participate in the "Aviadarts" contest. Competitions will be held among crews of fighter, attack, bomber, army, long-range, and transport aviation. In total, there are 10 nominations.

The Chinese team consisting of pilots from an aviation brigade of the PLA Air Force arrived at the airfield of Ryazan on July 25 and started preparation for the contest. They have looked into and studied the range, airspace and airline prior to the contest.

According Colonel General Victor Bondarev, all aircraft operated in the "Aviadarts" contest will be examined 2-3 times before the flight.

Competitions will be held at three airfields of Ryazan, Bryansk, and Kaluga Regions. And all military pilots will operate aircraft produced by their own country.
