7th Chinese naval escort taskforce leaves Gulf of Aden

  On the morning of March 22, the 7th naval escort taskforce of the Navy of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) bid farewell to the Gulf of Aden and the waters off Somali coast where they had performed escort missions for more than four months, embarking on a navigation to visit three African countries.

  On the afternoon of March 21, local time, after two days and nights of sailing, the 7th and the 8th Chinese naval escort taskforces escorted 13 Chinese and foreign ships in the 307th batch to the termination point in the eastern waters of the Gulf of Aden, completing their second joint escort operation.
