EXERCISE KOWARI MOVES INTO THE FIELD

We're running an exercise between the Chinese, Australians, and the US. Survival is the theme, but the most emphasis on it is teambuilding and working together. We're teaching them multiple skills, not only just living off the land and using resources that are aroundyou, as well as working together as a team.

So I'm going to use that for my digging stick. And this I use for my utensils, so just carving two pieces, maybe a fork, knife, spoon's over here.

They've learned about survival kits, what to put and keep in a survival kit. They've learned about knives, how to keep and maintain knives,as well as safety. They've done improvised tools.

That's quite an effective axe.

They're taught how to construct shelters. They're taught how to make fire by friction, fire by solar.

Hey. Yeah.

I think it's useful surviving in the wild, making some tools to survive.

I think I'm going to feel a little dehydrated and a little hungry and tired. Like I said, nothing that we can't handle, though, nothing we can't overcome through teamwork.

Yeah. I'm going to take one of these.
