(VNA) A Chinese naval fleet arrived in Ho Chi Minh City’s International Port on May 6, starting a four-day friendship visit to Vietnam.

The fleet includes missile destroyer Changchun and missile frigate Jingzhou with an over-500-member crew led by Rear Admiral Shen Hao. The visit aimed to strengthen ties between the two militaries in general and the two naval forces in particular, thus contributing to boosting the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

During their stay in Ho Chi Minh City, the Chinese officers are scheduled to pay a courtesy visit to leaders of the municipal People’s Committee, and visit the Military Region 7 Command, Naval Region 2 and Naval Brigade 171.
