BEIJING, Aug. 22 (ChinaMil) -- Vice Chairman of China's Central Military Commission (CMC) Gen. Xu Qiliang met with the visiting Commander of Royal Cambodian Air Force Lt. Gen. Soeung Samnang in Beijing on Monday.

The China-Cambodia friendship has withstood the test of the vicissitudes of the international situation, China is grateful to Cambodia for its firm support on issues concerning the core interests of China, Gen. Xu Qiliang said.

In recent years, the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Cambodia has been developing further, and the bilateral military cooperation between the two countries has yielded fruitful results, Xu said.

The Chinese military is willing to work with the Cambodian military to promote closer bilateral high-level exchanges and strengthen pragmatic cooperation in fields of education and training, Xu added.

He hopes that the two air forces will continue to keep a good momentum of exchanges and cooperation to contribute to the development of bilateral military relations.

Soeung Samnang said that Cambodia and China as well as their militaries have a deep friendship, Cambodia thanks China for its long-standing selfless assistance and strong support.

The Royal Cambodian Air Force looks forward to enhancing exchange and cooperation with the Chinese Air Force, Soeung Samnang added.
