SHANGHAI, Feb. 5 (ChinaMil) -- The No.85 Hospital directly under a joint logistics support center of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) has recently put the latest research results obtained by the telemedicine information technology research institute of the hospital in the list of projects docking with the training exercises of combat units.

The institute has been targeting its research programs at battlefield use t since its establishment. The telemedicine system developed by the institute has remarkably shortened the battlefield rescue process, the electronic medical tag system enables medics in the aid stations to make collection, storage, transmission and application of the detailed information of battlefield casualties and treatment in seconds, while the field individual search and rescue system helps the wounded to be discovered and get treatment in the shortest time.

The two systems have been used by combat troops in training exercises and greatly improved the treatment efficiency.

To improve the operational efficiency of the field ambulance search and rescue equipment, a research team headed by Lian Ping, director of the institute, has successfully developed new technologies including the embedded raster image maps and graphic display of simple injuries.

A group of intelligent battlefield rescue software and hardware including the visual search and rescue terminals, indoor wounded positioning technology as well as the military terms intelligent recognition and broadcast technology newly developed by the research team with the support of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University are being tested. |

These achievements will soon be unveiled in the battlefield to provide powerful informational support for the PLA's actual combat search and rescue capability.

All of their research results have been successfully applied in training.
