8th International Radar Expo to be held in Nanjing in June

NANJING, May 3 (ChinaMil) -- The 8th International Radar Exposition and the 9th Military and Civilian Dual-use Electronic Information Technology Exhibition will run from 14th to 16th of June in Nanjing, capital city of east China's Jiangsu Province, said the China Radar Industry Association on Wednesday.

The Expo will display radar systems and equipment and technologies applied in spaceflight, aircraft, ships, weapons and other fields. The Expo aims to promote the international exchange and cooperation and upgrade China's radar and related electronic information technology innovations.

A number of star radar products of China including the KJ-2000 AWACS radar, the KLJ-7 airborne fire-control radar and the multi-functional active phased array radar known as the Chinese Aegis developed to fit into the PLA Navy's Type 052C and Type 052D destroyers equipped with advanced area air defense capabilities will be showcased at the Expo.

The world's top 10 star radars and a forecast report on development trends of radar technologies will be released for the first time during the Expo, amid more than 10 product launches, seminars, forums, and project matchmaking events.

The International Radar Expo is held biennially since 2001 and has become an important platform for the international radar industry to conduct technological exchange and cooperation and product display. The China International Military and Civilian Dual-Use Electronic Information Technology Exhibition is held every two years since it was inaugurated in 2002.
