Iran police in Armenia for int'l army games competitions

TEHRAN, July 29 (Xinhua) -- A team from the Iranian police force is in Armenia to take part in the International Army Games 2018, Tasnim news agency reported on Sunday.

The games are held in seven countries, and military athletes of six countries have attended the competition in Armenia's city of Dilijan.

Sports teams from Iran, Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Greece and Kazakhstan are competing in five fields in Dilijan.

Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan attended the opening of the games on Saturday.

In the meantime, a team from the Iranian Air Force's Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Unit has gone to Kazakhstan to take part in the games.

Iran is one of the hosts of this year's Army Games. The international army games, this year, will run until August 11 in Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Iran, Azerbaijan and Armenia.
