NEW DELHI, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- India on Wednesday successfully test-fired indigenously-developed Man Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATGM) system in southern state of Andhra Pradesh.
Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for the successful test of MPATGM from a firing range in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.
Singh tweeted, "The missile was launched from a man portable Tripod launcher and the target was mimicking a functional tank. The missile hit the target in top attack mode and destroyed it with precision. All the mission objectives were met."
