TEHRAN, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- Iranian state TV reported on Thursday the kick-off of an Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC)'s drill codenamed Great Prophet-16 in the southwest of the country near the Iraqi border.
The wargame's first phase started on Thursday morning, with its center on IRGC's Karbala regional base, in the city of Ahvaz, Khuzestan province.
According to the official release, prominent IRGC tactics practiced in the drill are offensive operations, the repeal of infiltration operations with a combination of armored and infantry forces at night, and night airstrikes.
