BEIJING, Aug. 31 -- A pontoon bridge element of an engineering and chemical defense brigade under the PLA 76th Group Army conducted a floating pontoon bridge building drill in a certain water area of the Yellow River. During the drill, the reconnaissance squad surveyed the terrain first. Then, dozens of motorboats pushed the floating bridge sections toward the designated water area. Operating soldiers coordinated to connect the floating bridge sections into a 254-meter-long floating pontoon bridge across the river.
