August 27, 1958, primary propeller-driven training plane CJ-6 independently developed by China had a successful maiden flight. It took only 72 days from designing to the maiden flight of the first prototype. In the following decades, CJ-6 has trained more than 10,000 pilots and was hailed as the “cradle” of Chinese pilots.
