June 27, 1967, the HQ-2 air defense missile was successfully developed. Being 10.8m long, the HQ-2 missile had a caliber of more than 500mm, with a body weight of 2.3 tons, warhead load of over 200kg, maximal speed of more than Mach 3.5, and maximal vertical reach of 27,000m.
