
January 11, 2011, the prototype of the new-generation heavy stealth fighter J-20 independently developed by China had a successful maiden flight in Chengdu. J-20 was a single-seated, double-engine fourth-generation fighter developed by AVIC Chengdu Aircraft Industrial (Group) that featured great stealth performance, situation awareness and maneuverability. It lifted PLAAF into the line of world-class air forces and enabled it to rival any enemy in the air.
