It is a Soviet-made T-34 tank with a serial number 215, which was purchased from the Soviet Union during the period of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. In July 1952, the 2nd Company of the 4th Tank Division which the tank belonged to, in cooperation with the infantry, spent three days and three nights in carrying out eight combat tasks during the battle at the Beishan, Shiyandong, despite the extremely difficult conditions, destroying six tanks, twelve blockhouses, eight machine gun nests, eight small-caliber guns and one command post, making a new record of single-tank operation. After the battle, the tank was honored with the title of “The People’s Meritorious Tank.” It was transferred by the 6th Tank Regiment of the PLA to the Military Museum.
