BEIJING, May 3 (ChinaMil) -- A batch of new clothing equipment has been distributed to all the troop units of the PLA since early May, the PLA Daily learnt from the Logistic Support Department of China's Central Military Commission (CMC) on Thursday.
The new clothes include the long-sleeve fitness training suits, woven belts, cloth shoes, lightweight cold-proof shoes, and individual sleeper kits.
The long-sleeve fitness training suit is for outdoor physical training in spring and autumn. The woven belt is to match the training uniforms, and in wartime it can be used as a temporary tourniquet and can also be connected one by one to form a climbing rope.
The uppers of the cloth shoes are made of breathable mesh fabrics. As a new member of the PLA's footwear series, it is the first time the PLA servicepersons have had cloth shoes besides the leather shoes and combat boots.
The individual sleeper kit, which is small in size and light in weight with better portability, includes the individual tent, the lightweight sleeping bag, the warm sleeping bag, the inflatable sleeping mat and the sleeping mat made of foamed plastics.
