Chinese peacekeeping guard detachment passes MINUSMA assessment

GAO, MALI, June 21 (ChinaMil) -- The guard detachment of the 6th Chinese peacekeeping force to Mali passed the operational capability assessment of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) with high scores on June 19.

The assessment team comprised of seven staff officers from four divisions of the Sector East of the MINUSMA. In the comprehensive camp-zone defense exercise designed by the assessment team, the Chinese peacekeeping guards received examinations on their capabilities in rapid supportive response, emergency handling and battlefield first aid to the wounded as well as defense facilities of the detachment.

When assessing the rapid response capability of the detachment in supporting sentry posts damaged by surprise attack, the assessment team spoke highly of the Chinese peacekeeping guards' combat capability which can only obtained in long-time hard training.
