A group of over 50 veterans revisited the Putian Border Defence Detachment of the Chinese Armed Police Force where they had previously served on Aug 4, to celebrate the 91st anniversary of the founding of People's Liberation Army.
The veterans, some of which are still on active duty, have all been leaders and cadres at some point in the past 30 years at the Putian detachment.
Warmly received by the officers and soldiers stationed there, they watched films in the multi-functional audio-video room, and experienced the modern fitness and entertainment facilities, showing great appreciation for the rapid changes of the detachment.
They also had a look at some of the old military equipment and uniforms they had used before, triggering memories of their time in service.
A reception banquet was given by the detachment to show appreciation and respects to the veterans for their outstanding contributions over the past 30 years.
The veterans extended thanks to the detachment for organizing the activity, and encouraged the serving officers and soldiers to keep forging ahead with courage, hard work, and a loyalty to the army.
