BEIJING, March 4 (Xinhua) -- China and the United States should respect each other's core interests and major concerns, a spokesperson for the annual session of China's national legislature said Thursday.
The key to peaceful coexistence between the world's two largest economies is to respect each other's historical and cultural traditions, each other's core interests and major concerns, each other's chosen political system and development path, as well as the basic norms of the international community such as non-interference in others' internal affairs and peaceful settlement of disputes, Zhang Yesui, spokesperson for the fourth session of the 13th National People's Congress told a press conference.
