BEIJING, Aug. 19 -- On August 14, local time, the 23rd Chinese peacekeeping multi-role engineering company to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) passed the UN military capability assessment for the second half of the year.

北京8月19日电 黎巴嫩当地时间8月14日，中国第23批赴黎巴嫩维和部队多功能工兵分队通过下半年联合国军事能力评估。

The military capability assessment is a systematic inspection of the peacekeeping troops organized by the UN. The assessment, involving abundant content and wide coverage, aims to evaluate the capabilities of the peacekeeping troops in accomplishing peacekeeping missions with high standards and responding to various emergencies effectively.

军事能力评估是联合国对维和部队进行的一项系统性检验，涉及内容多、覆盖范围广，旨在评估各维和部队是否具备高标准完成维和任务、有效处置各类突发事件的能力。

The joint assessment team, consisting of 14 members from the UNIFIL personnel, intelligence, operations, training, communications, and other departments, conducted an overall assessment on 695 items in 17 categories including personnel, intelligence, training, defense, communications, and medical support.

当日，联黎司令部人事、情报、作战、训练、通信等部门共14名成员组成的联合评估组，对涉及人事、情报、训练、防卫、通信、医疗等17类695个内容进行全方位评估。

The UNIFIL Deputy Chief of Staff also watched the display of Chinese peacekeeping troops' mine clearance and explosive ordnance disposal equipment , mine clearance training, and minefield rescue drill.

期间，联黎部队副参谋长艾洛克•洛佩慈•加西亚上校 还观看了扫雷排爆装备展示、扫雷训练及雷场救援演练。

After the full-element and all-round inspection and evaluation, the Chinese peacekeeping multi-role engineering company met all the assessment standards in every indicator with its professional competence, and passed the UN military capability assessment for the second half of the year.

经过全要素、全方位检查评估，赴黎维和多功能工兵分队凭借专业的素养，各项指标均达到评估标准，通过分队下半年联合国军事能力评估。
