BEIJING, Jan.19 -- The multi-national maritime exercise "Will for Peace 2026" concluded in the waters and airspace near South Africa on January 16, 2026.

北京，1月19日电 当地时间1月16日，“和平意志-2026”海上联合演习在南非附近海空域顺利闭幕。演习期间，各参演国围绕多个课目展开了实战化演练。

The exercise focused on such subjects as maritime strikes, ship-borne helicopters cross-deck landing, rescue of the hijacked vessels, communication maneuvers, formation movements, and helicopter medical evacuation.

海上实兵演练阶段，各国参演舰艇重点展开了对海打击、舰载直升机互降、武力营救被劫持船舶、通信操演、编队运动和直升机转运救治伤病员等科目演练。

Themed on "Joint Actions to Ensure the Safety of Key Shipping Lanes and Maritime Economic Activities," the exercise is the first defense cooperation event under the BRICS framework.

此次联演以维护重要航运通道和经济活动安全的联合行动为课题，是金砖框架下的首次防务合作。
