According to a BBC report on January 13, 2026, Pakistan is currently in negotiations with several countries regarding the sale of JF-17 "Thunder" fighter jets.

Reports indicated that Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Sudan, and Iraq have all expressed interest in purchasing this type of aircraft. As of now, the countries that have put JF-17 into service include Pakistan, Myanmar, Nigeria, and Azerbaijan. It is also reported that in the military sales agreement reached between the Libyan National Army and Pakistan at the end of 2025, the JF-17 fighter jets were also included. If the plan proceeds smoothly, Libya will become the fifth country to be equipped with this type of aircraft.
