BEIJING, March 27 -- The engineering contingent assigned to the 16th Chinese Peacekeeping Horizontal Engineering Company to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) successfully completed a four-day survey mission of the Tonj-Romich[PH1.1] supply route.
北京 3月27日电 近日,中国第16批赴南苏丹(瓦乌)维和工兵分队历时4天,圆满完成“通季-罗米奇”补给线勘察任务。
This supply route is a vital transport artery in South Sudan, stretching 112 kilometers and connecting multiple counties, towns and villages. The road conditions along the entire route are substandard, causing considerable inconvenience to the local production and daily life.
此条补给线是南苏丹境内一条非常重要的交通动脉,全程112公里,串联多个县镇及村庄。全线道路状况恶劣,给当地群众生产生活带来诸多不便。
During the mission, the Chinese peacekeeping contingent surveyed 23 villages as well as 19 bridges and culverts, and completed on-site inspection and registration of two borrow pits and one water point. It also delineated 37 kilometers of priority construction sections and 58 kilometers of routine maintenance sections, laying a solid foundation for subsequent operations.
分队此次勘察23个村落、19座桥梁涵洞,完成2处取土点、1处取水点的实地勘察登记,明确重点施工路段37公里、一般维护路段58公里,为后续任务展开奠定坚实基础。
