HO CHI MINH CITY, July 6 -- The Chinese PLA Navy task group, composed of training ship Qijiguang (Hull 83) and amphibious dock landing ship Kunlunshan (Hull 998), arrived in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on the morning of July 5, 2026, beginning a four-day friendly visit.

胡志明市7月6日电 当地时间7月5日上午，执行远海综合实习访问任务的中国人民解放军海军83舰编队抵达越南胡志明市，开启为期4天的友好访问。

During the visit, the training ship Qijiiguang will hold open ship activities. Troops of the task group will visit Vietnamese naval units and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City,  for exchanges and discussions, and take part in friendly ball sports. The task group will also host a deck reception aboard the training ship Qijiguang on the evening of July 8, 2026.

访问期间，戚继光舰将举行舰艇开放活动，编队官兵将赴越南海军部队和胡志明人文社科大学等参访、座谈，并开展球类友谊赛等活动。编队还将于8日晚在戚继光舰举行甲板招待会。

During the voyage, Chinese and foreign midshipmen trained together in mixed groups, participating in instruction and training in terrestrial navigation , celestial navigation , common subjects, professional fundamentals, and shipboard internship.

海上航行期间，中外学员混编同训，开展了地文航海、天文航海、共同科目、专业基础及岗位见习等教学训练。
