JUBA, July 27 -- On July 23, 2026, the 12th Chinese Peacekeeping Infantry Battalion to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) completed an armed patrol mission from the capital, Juba, to the Mongalla region.

朱巴7月27日电 -- 当地时间7月23日，中国第12批赴南苏丹（朱巴）维和步兵营圆满完成从首都朱巴至蒙加拉地区的武装巡逻任务。

The Mongalla region is avital supply route connecting Juba with the northern states. This patrol covered a round trip distance of more than190 kilometers, passing through urban areas, villages and other terrain, as well as nine checkpoints and two dead zones. The complex road conditions and security situation tested the contingent's overall response capabilities.

蒙加拉地区是连接首都朱巴与北部各州的交通要道。此次巡逻往返全程190余公里，沿途穿越城区、村落等路段，途径9个检查站、2处信号盲区，复杂的道路环境和安全形势，对巡逻分队的综合处置能力提出了考验。

After four hours of maneuver, the contingent successfully arrived in the Mongalla region. Subsequently, the Chinese commander met with the local government and police officials, and the two sides held in-depth exchanges on strengthening combined military and police coordination mechanisms and deepening security cooperation.

经过4个小时连续机动，巡逻分队顺利抵达蒙加拉地区。随后，中方指挥员与当地政府和警察局负责人进行会晤，双方围绕加强军警协同、深化安全合作进行了深入交流。
