JUBA, Aug. 17 --The 12th Chinese Peacekeeping Infantry Battalion to South Sudan (Juba) recently held a Force Commander's Commendation ceremony. Major General Wu Junhui, Force Commander of UNMISS, attended the event and presented the Force Commander's Commendation to 31 Chinese peacekeepers in recognition of their outstanding contributions during their peacekeeping mission.
朱巴8月17日电 -- 近日，中国第十二批赴南苏丹（朱巴）维和步兵营隆重举行部队司令嘉奖颁授仪式。联合国驻南苏丹特派团部队司令吴俊辉少将出席仪式，为31名官兵颁发部队司令嘉奖，表彰他们在执行维和任务中作出的突出贡献。
It is learned that the 12th Chinese Peacekeeping Infantry Battalion to South Sudan (Juba) was formed mainly from a brigade assigned to the Chinese PLA 82nd Group Army. To date, the battalion has carried out over 90 mandated tasks, including joint patrols and armed escorts, covering a cumulative distance of more than 10,000 kilometers. Meanwhile, the battalion has actively provided humanitarian assistance, earning high praise from UNMISS and local residents.
据悉，中国第十二批赴南苏丹（朱巴）维和步兵营由陆军第82集团军某旅为主抽组而成。截至目前，该部累计执行联合巡逻、武装护卫等授权任务90余次，累计行程一万余公里。同时，积极开展人道主义援助，得到联南苏团及当地民众的高度赞誉。
