WAU, August 25 -- The 16th Chinese Peacekeeping Engineering Contingent to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) in Wau recently visited a local girls' primary school to provide humanitarian assistance.
瓦乌8月25日电 近日,中国第16批赴南苏丹(瓦乌)维和工兵分队前往当地女子小学开展人道主义援助活动。
Educational resources are scarce in the Wau mission area of South Sudan, where schools face inadequate teaching conditions and shortages of supplies for cultural and sports activities. The contingent carried out humanitarian assistance activities including Chinese language lessons, traditional Chinese cultural performances, and donations of supplies. School representatives expressed gratitude to the Chinese peacekeeping contingent for its assistance.
南苏丹瓦乌任务区教育资源匮乏,校园教学条件薄弱,文体物资短缺。分队此次进行了中文教学、传统文化展演、物资捐赠等人道主义援助活动,校方代表对中国维和分队无私帮扶表示诚挚的感谢。
The peacekeepers will continue to pay attention to the livelihood needs of nearby communities and carry out assistance activities to benefit the local residents.
下一步,分队官兵将持续关注周边社区民生需求,因地制宜开展便民帮扶活动,用实际行动为当地和平作出贡献。
