BEIJING, Sept. 7 -- The 48th and 49th Chinese PLA naval escort task forces recently held an escort mission handover ceremony at the Chinese PLA Support Base in Djibouti, marking the official handover of the escort mission in the Gulf of Aden and waters off Somalia from the 48th task force to the 49th.

北京 9月7日电 近日，海军第48、49批护航编队在我驻吉布提保障基地组织护航任务交接仪式，标志着第49批护航编队正式接替第48批护航编队，担负亚丁湾、索马里海域护航任务。

On September 5, the two escort task forces held a farewell ceremony in the Gulf of Aden. The ships formed two columns and hoisted signal flags to convey their mutual respect and best wishes.

9月5日，两批护航编队在亚丁湾某海域举行分航仪式，编队组成双纵队，分别挂出信号旗组，互致敬意与祝愿。

Following the handover ceremony, the 48th Chinese naval escort task force proceeded with its follow-up missions, while the 49th took over the escort mission. The two task forces also conducted joint escort and patrol operations.

交接仪式后，第48批护航编队执行后续任务，第49批护航编队接力护航。除交接仪式外，两批编队还组织了共同护航和联合巡航。
