BEIJING, Sept. 22 -- Colonel José Luis López-Rubio, the newly appointed Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), recently led a working group on inspection visit to the 24th Chinese peacekeeping contingent to Lebanon.

北京9月22日电 近日，新任联合国驻黎巴嫩临时部队（联黎部队）行动副参谋长何塞・路易斯・洛佩斯・鲁比奥・阿森西奥上校率工作组，来到中国第24批赴黎巴嫩维和部队调研。

The working group inspected the Chinese peacekeeping troops' operational readiness facilities and observed demonstrations of mine clearance, engineering equipment operation, and unexploded ordnance disposal, comprehensively assessing the Chinese peacekeepers' ability to perform mandated tasks.

工作组实地勘察战备设施，观摩扫雷排爆、工程装备操作、未爆物处置等课目演示，全面检验中国蓝盔战备水平与任务履职能力。

Colonel Rubio spoke highly of the Chinese peacekeepers' performance and commended their outstanding contributions.

鲁比奥上校对中国维和部队认真履职给予高度评价，充分肯定中国维和力量作出的突出贡献。

The Chinese peacekeeping contingent is currently making steady progress on various tasks, including construction work at Camp Green Hill, the detection and clearance of unexploded ordnance, and road repair along the Blue Line.

当前，分队正有序推进绿山营区工程施工、未爆物探排、“蓝线”道路修复等各项工作。
