BEIJING, Sept. 30 -- The China-Laos Joint Support and Training Center at Ban Keun Airport in Vientiane Province, Laos, and the China-Laos Friendship Aviation Academy officially went into operation on September 29, 2026. Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Khamlieng attended the inauguration ceremony, and a delegation from the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) participated.

北京9月30日电 9月29日，中老两军班根机场联合保障和训练中心、中老友谊航空学院正式挂牌运行。老挝副总理兼国防部长坎良出席挂牌仪式，中国人民解放军派代表团参加。

The center, jointly maintained and operated by both sides, is aimed at helping Laos strengthen the training of its air force pilots. The construction and use of the center reflect mutual respect and equal consultation between China and Laos, comply with both countries' domestic laws, relevant international law and common practice. It is not directed against any third party and contributes to enhancing practical military cooperation as well as promoting regional peace and stability.

训练中心用于帮助老方加强空军飞行员培养训练，由双方共同维持正常运转，其建设和使用是中老两国相互尊重、平等协商的成果，符合两国国内法、相关国际法和国际实践，不针对任何第三方，有利于进一步密切两军务实合作，维护地区和平稳定。
