BEIJING, Feb. 9 -- The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Support Base in Djibouti held a Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) cultural exchange activity on the evening of February 5, 2026. Over 100 guests from the Djiboutian government and military, other foreign troops stationed in Djibouti, the Chinese Embassy and Chinese-funded enterprises in Djibouti were invited to attend.

As the Chinese New Year draws near, the activity was organized to celebrate the Spring Festival of the Year of the Horse, deepen the friendly relations between China and Djibouti, and promote mutual understanding between the Chinese and other troops stationed in Djibouti.

Traditional Chinese cultural programs such as lion dancing and martial arts, as well as interaction and appreciation sessions concerning traditional Chinese medicine, calligraphy, paper-cutting, tea art, and cuisine enabled the foreign guests to experience and better understand the Chinese culture.
