BEIJING, Sept. 8 -- The shore phase of the China-Singapore "Maritime Cooperation-2026" naval exercise was held from September 5 to 7 in Zhanjiang City, south China's Guangdong Province.
During the shore phase, the Republic of Singapore Navy's Formidable-class frigate RSS Steadfast (Hull 70) arrived at a military port in Zhanjiang. Representatives from both sides visited RSS Steadfast and the Chinese PLA Navy's guided-missile frigate Dali (Hull 553). Both sides also held professional exchanges on subjects including diving operations, submarine search and rescue, and underwater medicine.
The sea phase of the exercise will begin on September 8 in the sea and airspace near Zhanjiang City, featuring communication drills, replenishment at sea, joint maritime strikes, joint search and rescue, and other training subjects.
