BEIJING, Oct. 26 -- China and Indonesia will hold the Sharp Knife 2026 joint army counter-terrorism training in southern China's Guangdong province from late October to early November, said the Chinese defense ministry on October 26, 2026.

This joint training will focus on joint counter-terrorism rescue operations in mountainous region, involving mountain climbing, special vehicles driving, helicopter rappelling, close-range assault, and coordinated operations between manned and unmanned systems.

As the third edition of this series of joint training, it will help further deepen practical exchanges and cooperation between the two militaries and enhance both sides' joint operational capabilities.
