BEIJING, July 13 -- This year marks the fifth anniversary of the implementation of the Coast Guard Law of the People's Republic of China. From July 10 to 12, the China Coast Guard (CCG) held open ship day activities simultaneously in Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Haikou cities, with a total of eight CCG vessels being opened to the public.
This marks the first time that the CCG has organized large-scale open ship day activities. Visitors gained a close-up look at the advanced capabilities of CCG law enforcement vessels and the professionalism of coast guard personnel, learned about maritime rights protection and law enforcement, and strengthened their awareness of national defense and maritime sovereignty.
