BEIRUT, Jan. 27 – The 24th Chinese Peacekeeping Construction Engineering Company and the 24th Chinese Peacekeeping Level 1+ Hospital to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) passed the UNIFIL first-quarter equipment inspection in 2026 with high standards.
The inspection team consisted of 15 professionals from 10 departments of the UNIFIL headquarters including engineering, civil affairs, transportation, and medical service. The inspection team inspected and examined thousands of pieces of equipment in more than 20 categories including barrack facilities, vehicles and machinery, medical equipment, weapons and ammunition, communication devices, fire-fighting supplies, water purification and oil storage devices. The two-day assessment and verification showed that all the equipment of the two Chinese peacekeeping contingents reached relevant standards.
It is learned that the 24th Chinese Peacekeeping Multi-role Engineering Company to UNIFIL is preparing in an orderly manner for the UNIFIL first-quarter equipment inspection scheduled for early February, 2026.
