WAU, South Sudan, July 14 -- The 16th Chinese Peacekeeping Level-II Hospital to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) recently dispatched a  medical team comprising specialists in internal medicine, surgery, neurosurgery, and burn and plastic surgery to conduct medical outreach. The team drove to the Kuajok area of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) to provide medical services to personnel at the deployment sites of the Chinese peacekeeping horizontal engineering company and the Bangladeshi peacekeeping infantry battalion.

Given that personnel deployed in the field for extended periods are susceptible to skin disease and digestive disorders, the medical team conducted individual consultations and examinations, providing specialist diagnosis and treatment, wound care, and medication guidance. The team also delivered health education on malaria prevention and control, heatstroke prevention, and health protection during field operations, while answering questions about daily healthcare.
