MACAO, Aug. 22 -- In line with the Law of the People's Republic of China on Garrisoning the Macao Special Administrative Region and the orders from China's Central Military Commission (CMC), the Macao Garrison of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) organized the 26th rotation on Friday since it began garrisoning Macao in 1999.

Early in the morning, the incoming troops assembled at the Zhuhai base and participated in the farewell ceremony. After the ceremony, the troops, grouped in combat formations, entered Macao from Hengqin Port. The Chinese PLA Macao Garrison then organized a defense handover ceremony at the Taipa Barracks.

Over the past 26 years, the troops of the PLA Macao Garrison have made significant contributions to maintaining the prosperity and stability of Macao.
