BEIJING, Aug. 28 -- China and Nepal will hold the "Sagarmatha Friendship 2025" joint army training in Nepal in early to mid-September, said Senior Colonel Zhang Xiaogang, spokesperson for China's Ministry of National Defense, at a regular press conference on Thursday.
Themed on joint counter-terrorism operations, this joint army training will be organized in the form of mixed teams with participating troops teaching and learning from each other, said the spokesperson. During the joint training, participating troops will carry out comprehensive drills on joint counter-terrorism operations and practice disaster relief and rescue, peacekeeping operations and so on.
The spokesperson pointed out that this event will mark the fifth iteration of such joint training between the Chinese and Nepali militaries, which aims to further enhance their capabilities in joint counter-terrorism operations and deepen the traditional friendship and pragmatic cooperation between the two militaries.
