The Shenzhou-20 crew aboard China's space station will soon carry out the fourth extravehicular activity (EVA), also known as a spacewalk, the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) announced on Wednesday.

The taikonaut trio – Chen Dong, Chen Zhongrui, and Wang Jie – completed three spacewalks in May, June, and August, respectively. Once finished, the crew will match the benchmark set by the Shenzhou-15 crew to have four spacewalks during their orbital stay.

The Shenzhou-20 crew has conducted experiments in space life sciences, human research, microgravity physics, and new space technologies and applications. They also completed on-orbit medical rescue training and a full-system emergency drill, while continuing routine tasks such as environmental monitoring, equipment inspection and maintenance, and inventory management.

The station is reported to be operating stably, while the crew is in good physical and mental health and fully prepared for their next EVA, according to the CMSA.
