BEIJING, Oct. 24 -- The closing ceremony of the China-Malaysia "Peace and Friendship 2025" joint exercise was held at Malaysia's national disaster assistance and rescue camp in Puchong on October 23, 2025.
The nine-day joint exercise, focusing on humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) and maritime security, was primarily conducted at Malaysia's national disaster assistance and rescue camp in Puchong, Port Klang, National Hydrographic Centre, Subang Air Base, and the waters of the Strait of Malacca.
During the exercise, the two sides conducted live-force drills on HADR and maritime security as well as exchanges and discussions. In addition, they carried out such activities as deck receptions, open ship day activities, cultural and sports exchanges.
The joint exercise has promoted the friendship between the two militaries and enhanced their capabilities in jointly addressing non-traditional security threats and safeguarding regional peace and stability.
